Collective Worship
Collective Worship is a time when all of our children and staff come together, every day, as a community to share, reflect and build on our school’s Christian vision.
In Collective Worship, we have plenty of opportunities for spiritual development and to develop a sense of awe and wonder. We have an opportunity to worship and celebrate, think about our own developing beliefs and understand the beliefs of others. We actively consider how we are ‘lights for others’.
As part of worship, our children spend time working together as they respond to what they listen to. We also welcome parents and members of our local community to our collective worship, which can be held in school (in our hall), outdoors or at our local church.
Throughout the year we also welcome many visitors to lead our Collective Worship, including our vicar (from Bakewell Parish Church) Open the Book and MAST.
Our collective worship is based around termly Christian values and the liturgical calendar and rooted in the Christian faith.
